Zhuzhou Daily (full media reporter/Gao Xiaoyan correspondent/Yao Zhiwei, Long Wenfang) recently, the 62500 ton bulk carrier "Beilun 19" slowly left the Taizhou port shipyard and began its first voyage. The power equipment loaded on it - 550kW axle holding high-power permanent magnet generator was developed by CRRC Zhuzhou Motor Co., Ltd.

One month ago, the ship "Beilun 19" carrying the permanent magnet generator went east along the Yangtze River and entered the East China Sea. It completed an 8-day sea trial to test the generator's grid connection performance, load characteristics at multiple speeds, vibration under variable working conditions, and temperature rise at rated power. After testing, the performance of the permanent magnet generator has reached the international advanced level.

550kW axle holding high-power permanent magnet generator is a special permanent magnet product developed based on the operating characteristics of ship's main engine and power station. The design scheme of this product adopts a wide speed regulation range design, which successfully solves the problems of low efficiency and high temperature rise under the full working condition and hard impact load mode of ocean going ships, and realizes the automatic control of the whole process of starting, generating electricity, and exiting the main engine.

Compared with the traditional electric excitation direct drive generator, this permanent magnet generator has a volume reduction of about 30%, a weight reduction of more than 35%, and an overall energy efficiency improvement of more than 5%. Based on the 60000 tonnage ships used this time, each ship can save hundreds of thousands of yuan in fuel cost every year.

The successful application of this permanent magnet generator means that CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Co., Ltd. has successfully broken the monopoly of foreign brands in the field of domestic ship permanent magnet axle holding generators, and accelerated the localization and independent development of key ship equipment.
